4 Fantasy Baseball DFS Targets Who Could Make Strong Additions to Friday Lineups

If you need fantasy baseball advice for some of the afternoon and night games in Friday’s loaded 15-game slate, this is your one-stop article. Here are four DFS targets to look at in fantasy baseball this Friday, April 3.

Stacking the Seattle Mariners Against Reid Detmers in DFS

Stacking the Seattle Mariners at home is something you should do at your own risk given how friendly T-Mobile Park is for pitchers. That said, there are some players in the Seattle lineup who have had plenty of success against the Los Angeles Angels’ scheduled starter, Reid Detmers, in the past.

There’s J.P. Crawford, who has hit .444 with a 1.167 OPS and a homer in 18 at-bats. There’s also Mitch Garver, who has a 1.036 OPS in 11 at-bats, including a homer.

Julio Rodriguez has also seen the ball well against Detmers, hitting .600 with a 1.792 OPS and a homer across 10 at-bats. The Mariners’ offense has been underwhelming, but they need to wake up eventually. On paper, this is a strong matchup to do so.

Streaming Wilyer Abreu in Boston Red Sox DFS Lineups

The Boston Red Sox are tied for the fewest runs scored so far in the majors with 17 across six games and 202 at-bats. However, Wilyer Abreu has been the lone silver lining in Boston’s lineup, and he’s a player you should consider streaming in DFS if possible.

Over his last 20 at-bats, Abreu has hit .450 (9-for-20) with three doubles, three homers, six RBIs, and just three strikeouts. Abreu’s playing time is a bit inconsistent on a crowded Red Sox roster, but he’s certainly seeing the ball well and could be a strong addition to your DFS lineups.

Trusting Cade Horton and Joe Boyle in Fantasy Baseball

Cade Horton had an impressive 2025 MLB season with a 2.67 ERA across 23 appearances. He opened the 2026 campaign with 6.1 innings of two-run ball in a win over the Washington Nationals, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out four.

He’ll be facing the Cleveland Guardians, and even though Jose Ramirez remains a star player, the team has struggled on offense overall. Cleveland is tied for the eighth-fewest runs with 22 across seven games, averaging 3.14 per contest, and its collective .574 OPS ranks 27th in the majors.

Start Horton confidently if you have the chance to do so.

As for Joe Boyle, he went six innings in his 2026 MLB season debut, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out four with no walks. The St. Louis Cardinals have been overachieving a bit to start the season, and now the 26-year-old right-hander will have an even better matchup against the Minnesota Twins.

The Twins happen to be one of the weakest lineups in the American League. They are currently hitting a collective .218, which stands as the 11th-worst mark in the majors.

Boyle will have the chance to prove if his performance in the opener was a fluke or a sign of things to come in another favorable matchup.
