Daily MLB predictions are as much about spot as raw ability. Today’s picks take a look at some players in great form and/or great matchups in an effort to unearth some value for the savvy bettor.
Miami Marlins at New York Yankees: Giancarlo Stanton RBI Prop Bet
Hitting in the vicinity of Aaron Judge is always a good thing, and when the opposing pitcher has failed to prove capable of polishing off same-sided matchups, Stanton is a player I want all sorts of exposure to.
He’s swinging well, but we know Stanton can cool off just as fast. Instead, I’m targeting Max Meyer, a 27-year-old righty who has some electric potential, but one who has struggled to keep the ball down and miss bats when in the zone.
The train of thought here is that the batters ahead of Stanton occupy the bases, thus forcing Meyer into the zone. Stanton posted a four-digit OPS at home a season ago, and I’m not going to shy away from him while in form and in a good spot.
We saw Stanton get stuck on cruise control for an extended stretch last season (August: .339/.431/.823), and he’s seeing the ball well to open this season. Judge gets the attention, and he deserves it, but when marrying price point with form, Stanton’s props are the ones that most have my interest right now.
Miami Marlins vs. New York Yankees: Betting the Yankees Run Line
The Yankees are enjoying an impressive start after winning six of their first seven contests, and nothing suggests they shouldn’t continue with their winning run against the Marlins. Even though Miami enjoyed a 5-1 start before Friday’s loss to the Bronx Bombers, their pitching staff will have to deal with a tougher lineup compared to what they faced in their first two series, the White Sox and Rockies.
Ryan Weathers showed some good things in his 2026 debut, striking out 7 across 4 1/3 innings, and he should know a thing or two about the Marlins’ lineup after pitching in Miami the last two seasons. The Yankees’ offense should be good enough to handle Max Meyer, who allowed 3 runs in 5 frames against the Rockies in his debut, setting up what should be a relatively comfortable victory for the Yankees in front of their fans in the Bronx.
Tampa Bay Rays at Minnesota Twins: Betting the Rays Run Line and Over
Steven Matz had a rocky season debut, as he gave up 4 earned runs on 6 hits (1 home run) with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk over 5 innings in an 11-7 road win against the Cardinals on Sunday. However, he’s been solid against the Twins, going 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 4 career appearances (3 starts), with 15 strikeouts and 5 walks across 16 2/3 innings.
Mick Abel also struggled in his season debut against the Orioles on Sunday, giving up 5 earned runs on 8 hits with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks over 3 1/3 innings in an 8-6 road loss.
This sets up as a spot to back the Rays against the Twins, trusting Matz to navigate this matchup better than Abel. Matz will face a lineup that has had some trouble hitting the ball. I think Matz will pitch well enough to get another win; however, the Over is also worth a look, as both pitchers showed vulnerability in their season debuts, creating a path for runs on both sides.
