New York Yankees, 4 Other Wednesday DFS Plays Target Highly Favorable Fantasy Baseball Matchups (April 22, 2026)

If you’re looking for overall DFS and betting fantasy baseball advice ahead of Wednesday’s loaded slate, we’ve got you covered. We bring you two lineups to stack, a hitter to consider in DFS formats, and a pitcher to stream in most formats. We also recommend a pitcher you shouldn’t start under any circumstances.

Why You Should Stack the New York Yankees in DFS

Stacking a lineup at Fenway Park is always risky, but Wednesday’s game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox is a special scenario. Not only do the Yankees have some of the best power hitters in the game, with Aaron Judge (.931 OPS, 9 homers, 16 RBI) and Ben Rice (1.215 OPS, 8 homers, .435 ISO) standing out, but there are several Bronx Bombers who have had plenty of success against the Red Sox’s projected starter Ranger Suarez in the past.

There’s Trent Grisham, who has hit .273 with an .879 OPS and 1 homer in 11 at-bats. Ryan McMahon has hit .375 with 1 homer and a 1.037 OPS in 16 at-bats.

Amed Rosario also sports a .375 average and 1 homer with a 1.194 OPS, but he’s done it in just 8 at-bats. It wouldn’t be surprising if the entire Yankees lineup produces a strong showing against Suarez this Wednesday.

Why the Seattle Mariners Are a Strong Secondary DFS Stack

If you’re not able to stack a Yankees lineup in this slate, you could also entertain the idea of stacking a Seattle Mariners-based lineup in a favorable matchup against Aaron Civale and the Athletics. Even though this game will be played at T-Mobile Park, which limits the offensive potential for both teams, several Seattle players have had success against Civale in the past, which might be enough to consider a stack in some DFS contests.

We’re not even mentioning Cal Raleigh, who remains a must-start player, but Julio Rodriguez is an interesting alternative as well: He’s hit .417 with a 1.083 OPS in 12 at-bats against Civale in his career.

Mitch Garver could also be worth a look; despite his .222 average in 9 at-bats against Civale, he has a 1.189 OPS and has gone yard twice against him. It might not be as sexy as the Yankees’ stack against the Red Sox, but it’s certainly worth considering.

Why Freddie Freeman Is a Top DFS Target

Freddie Freeman has gone 11 games without a home run, but that doesn’t mean he’s not bringing value in fantasy with everything else that he brings to the table. Since the beginning of April, the first baseman has hit .317 with a .990 OPS, 3 homers, 12 RBI, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 8 runs scored, and a 9:8 K:BB in 16 games.

That’s an elite line regardless of how you want to analyze it, but it gets even better when analyzing his personal numbers against Tyler Mahle, who will start for the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. In 16 at-bats, Freeman has gone yard once while hitting .375 with a 1.099 OPS.

Streaming Freeman will be nearly impossible in season-long formats, but he’s one of the best options to anchor your lineup if you’re playing in a DFS contest.

Why Jack Leiter Is a Great Streaming Pitcher for Wednesday

Jack Leiter’s numbers have been far from ideal in the early stages of the 2026 season, as he owns a 4.87 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 24:9 K:BB over 20.1 innings. However, he hasn’t exactly had the easiest schedule with trips to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, and Athletics so far. Essentially, that’s two hitter-friendly environments and the best lineup in baseball.

In his lone start at home so far in 2026, Leiter tossed 5 innings of 1-run ball in a no-decision against the Cincinnati Reds while striking out 9. He faces a Pittsburgh Pirates lineup that hasn’t really been producing away from home, as they’ve posted a .660 collective OPS away from PNC Park.

The 26-year-old right-hander should have the chance to improve his numbers in what looks like a favorable matchup on paper.

Why You Must Avoid Starting Zack Littell on Wednesday

Zack Littell struggled badly in his last start, taking the loss and allowing 8 runs on 11 hits across 4 innings against the Giants on April 17. To make things even more complicated, he will face the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday’s fantasy baseball slate, and Atlanta’s lineup has been one of the most pleasant surprises in the National League so far in the 2026 season.

The Braves are not showing any signs of slowing down offensively following an impressive start to the season, and they enter Wednesday’s slate with a .788 collective OPS, which ranks as the third-best mark in the majors, trailing only the Dodgers and Houston Astros.

Plus, Littell has had his own share of problems against Atlanta in the past, allowing the Braves hitters to post a .317 average with an .872 OPS and .473 xSLG across 64 plate appearances in his career. Stay away from starting Littell, who has a 7.11 ERA and 1.74 WHIP this season, in this slate, even if you desperately need a streaming alternative.
