William Contreras, 2 Other Hitters Exploit Favorable Fantasy Baseball Matchups in Saturday’s Slate (April 25, 2026)

Saturday’s MLB slate features 15 games, and it’s a schedule loaded with several aces from a pitching perspective. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t players worth considering for home-run bets and props in fantasy baseball. Here are three hitters you should target for your lineups.

Why William Contreras Is a Top DFS Target

Contreras is part of a potential stack for the Milwaukee Brewers, who face a favorable matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Mitch Keller. The strength of the matchup is the reason you should be open to adding Contreras to your DFS lineups, as he’s hit .292 with an .888 OPS and 2 homers in 24 at-bats against Keller.

Contreras’ numbers this season have been solid as well, hitting .278 with a .767 OPS, but he has only 2 homers in 90 at-bats. Expect that to change on Saturday with a favorable matchup on tap.

Targeting Shohei Ohtani for Home-Run Props

Colin Rea is coming off back-to-back solid starts for the Chicago Cubs since being moved to a rotation role, tossing at least 6 innings in back-to-back wins against the Phillies. However, he gets a tougher test on Saturday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles, and one hitter he should be terrified of is none other than Shohei Ohtani.

The Japanese slugger has hit .250 with a 1.250 OPS in 8 at-bats against Rea, but what stands out is the fact that he’s gone yard twice in that limited sample size. Ohtani is hitting .237 with a .794 OPS in 26 games this season, which are pedestrian numbers for him, but he has 5 homers already.

With his history of success against Rea, it wouldn’t be surprising if he goes deep again on Saturday, especially as the Dodgers need to bounce back following Friday’s loss in the series opener.

Why Ketel Marte Is a Strong DFS Play

Marte has hit safely in 6 of his last 7 games, slashing .300/.344/.333 with a .677 OPS and 9 hits across 32 plate appearances over that stretch.

Furthermore, the star second baseman has had plenty of success against German Marquez, who is a flyball pitcher, in a game to be played at extreme altitude. Marte has a long history of success against Marquez, hitting .318 with a .968 OPS and 2 homers across 44 at-bats against him.

The history of success, the environmental conditions, and the fact that Marte is seeing the ball well of late suggest Marte would be an excellent alternative to anchor lineups across DFS slates.
