With a loaded slate this Tuesday, there are plenty of red-hot hitters to consider if you’re looking for a player to hit a home run. Here are three choices to consider if you’re looking to cash in on home run prop bets or to boost your fantasy baseball lineups.
Why Christian Walker Is a Top Home Run Target vs. Kyle Freeland
Walker went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday’s loss to the Rockies, and he’s slowly putting his subpar 2025 numbers to rest with a strong start to the season. He has homered twice in the last three games, and Walker has also hit safely in all but one of his last nine games, hitting an impressive .361 with a 1.092 OPS over that stretch.
As if swinging a hot bat wasn’t enough to believe Walker can go yard for a third time over his last four games, it’s also worth noting that he’s had plenty of success against Kyle Freeland in the past, hitting .317 with a .993 OPS and three homers across 41 at-bats against the veteran. With this game being played at Coors Field, Walker looks like a strong bet to go yard on Tuesday’s slate.
Why Jorge Soler Is a Strong Home Run Candidate on Tuesday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate
Soler has had enormous success against Reynaldo Lopez in the past, and although the sample size is small, it’s worth noting nonetheless. The veteran slugger, who regularly finds a spot in the Angels’ lineup regardless of whether he’s the DH or playing the outfield, is hitting .591 with a 1.898 OPS and four homers across 22 at-bats against the Braves’ right-hander.
Soler has gone eight games without a home run, but he’s starting to see the ball better with hits in each of his last three contests. Given his impressive history of success against Lopez in the past, Tuesday might be the game where Soler ends this prolonged home run drought and goes yard for the first time in April.
Marcell Ozuna Is an Excellent Choice for Home Run Prop Bets vs. Nick Pivetta
Ozuna is one of the best power hitters in the majors, and even though he’s no longer in his prime, we’re talking about a slugger who can take almost any pitcher in the majors deep with one swing of the bat. He has an excellent matchup this Tuesday since he’ll be facing the Padres and Nick Pivetta, against whom Ozuna has eight hits in 33 at-bats.
However, six of those eight hits have left the yard, meaning he owns a .788 slugging percentage and a robust 1.045 OPS against the right-hander. For what it’s worth, Pivetta owns an xwOBA of .388 against batters currently on the Pirates’ roster, so it’s going to be a tough matchup for him either way, but Ozuna looks like a strong bet to capitalize on that advantage.
