Even though Tuesday offers a loaded 15-game slate in fantasy baseball, this is one of those days where there aren’t many pitchers to stream. Still, if you’re desperate and you need innings off the waiver wire, or if you’ve decided to invest your DFS budget in bats, here are three options you should consider.
Why You Should Stream Zac Gallen on Tuesday
Gallen has earned just one win this season and sits with a 1-3 record, a 4.70 ERA, and a 1.49 WHIP across 38.1 innings. Those numbers are far from appealing, but Gallen couldn’t have asked for a better matchup to deliver a bounce-back opportunity since he’ll face the Texas Rangers on the road.
Texas has been one of the worst offenses in the majors this season with just 149 runs scored, the third-worst mark in MLB, and dead last in the American League. Plus, with this game being played at Globe Life Field, that should favor Gallen as well, since it recently replaced T-Mobile Park in Seattle as the majors’ most pitcher-friendly environment.
Gallen posted a 2.19 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP across five starts and 24.2 innings in April, and if he resembles even a bit of that form in this matchup, he should have enough success to be worthy of being a decent streaming option in most fantasy baseball formats.

Stephen Kolek’s Upside as a Streaming Pitcher on Tuesday
Kolek is getting the nod in Tuesday’s matchup against the Chicago White Sox, since Cole Ragans recently landed on the IL with an elbow injury. Kolek, who might have some fantasy appeal as a two-start pitcher this week if he stays in the rotation to pitch over the weekend against the Cleveland Guardians, will handle the task of facing a White Sox lineup that enters Tuesday’s slate ranking 11th in the majors in collective OPS (.713) but also seventh in strikeouts (374) through 40 games.
Kolek’s previous start this season was a success, as he allowed three runs on four hits while fanning three across six innings against Cleveland on May 5. Kolek doesn’t have a lot of roster ownership in most formats, so he could be an interesting addition for this week in fantasy baseball.
Streaming Slade Cecconi on Tuesday’s Fantasy Slate
Cecconi has gone 2-4 with a 6.15 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 31:16 K:BB across 41 innings this season, so there’s no question he’s a risky option in most formats. However, he might be in line for a solid, or at least decent, outing considering he’ll face the Angels. The Angels lead the majors in strikeouts with 406, and their collective OPS of .708 ranks 13th in fantasy baseball.
He might be turning in the right direction, as his previous start against the Royals on May 7 saw him allow two runs on six hits and three walks in 5.1 innings, meaning he was just two outs away from a quality start. That kind of output would be enough to make him a successful fantasy baseball streamer here.
