Pete Crow-Armstrong Tops 3 Saturday Sluggers Poised To Exploit Favorable Fantasy Baseball Matchups (Saturday, April 18)

If you need fantasy baseball advice to determine which hitters you should target for Saturday’s DFS slate, as well as for home run prop bets, here are three sluggers you should look at ahead of fully loaded MLB action on Saturday.

Why You Should Target Pete Crow-Armstrong in Saturday’s DFS Slate

It’s not a secret that Crow-Armstrong is having a woeful season in 2026, and he looks like a shell of the player who was an MVP candidate in the 2025 campaign. However, facing Freddy Peralta might be what Crow-Armstrong needs to start turning his season around.

The star outfielder has had excellent results against Peralta throughout his career, hitting .455 with a 1.318 OPS across 11 at-bats against the Mets’ hurler, going yard once and tallying five total hits. Crow-Armstrong’s numbers are poor so far, hitting .214 with a .558 OPS since the beginning of April, but his excellent history against Peralta might help him start turning things around.

Why Kyle Schwarber Is a Strong Home Run Candidate Against Chris Sale

One of the best sluggers in the majors without a doubt, Schwarber is an excellent fantasy option for managers who are looking to either boost their DFS lineups or target a hitter for potential home run bets. Schwarber has had excellent results against Chris Sale throughout his career, launching two homers and going 4-for-14 against the star southpaw, posting a 1.190 OPS.

Schwarber has gone hitless in the last two games, but he’s slashing .229/.403/.542 with a .945 OPS and four homers in 14 games in April. Sale has given up four homers in his last three starts, posting a 2.3 HR/9 and a 4.50 ERA across 16 innings in that stretch, so he might have a fair share of problems trying to dominate Schwarber.

The matchup isn’t the most favorable for the Phillies’ slugger, but his previous results and Sale’s own struggles make him a player worth keeping close tabs on.

Why Manny Machado Could Go Yard Against Yusei Kikuchi

Realistically, you could’ve gone with several other Padres players, as Fernando Tatis Jr. and Xander Bogaerts have also gone yard twice against Kikuchi in the past, but Machado gets the nod here since he’s been seeing the ball well of late.

Machado has hit safely in four of his last six games, hitting .238 with a .701 OPS, a homer, five RBIs, and two runs scored across 21 at-bats in that span. Machado has gone yard twice this season, but the matchup against Kikuchi, who owns a 7.50 ERA, 1.89 WHIP, and a 19:10 K:BB through 18 innings in 2026, is just too favorable to pass up.
