If you’re unsure of which players to target for home-run bets ahead of Monday’s fantasy baseball slate, we’ve got you covered. Here are three players who, on paper, seem to have a good shot at going yard in this upcoming 10-game slate.
Why Pete Alonso Is a Strong Home-Run Option in Monday’s Fantasy Baseball Slate
Alonso hasn’t had his best season thus far, and Orioles fans are already questioning whether it was a good idea to hand him a five-year, $155 million deal in the offseason after he’s hit a mere .128 with a .450 OPS and 0 home runs since the beginning of April. However, the star slugger could be primed for a bounce-back performance this Monday since he has a favorable matchup against Ryne Nelson. Alonso has hit a blistering .455 with a 2.000 OPS and 4 homers in just 11 at-bats against Nelson.
Matchup-based numbers aside, the metrics also suggest Alonso should start to deliver better numbers sooner rather than later. He went 2-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI, a walk, and a run scored in the 6-2 win over the Giants on Sunday, and his hard-hit rate of 56.4% ranks as the 11th-best mark in the majors. Trust in Alonso to bounce back.
Why Shea Langeliers Could Hit a Home Run in Monday’s Fantasy Slate
It’s way too soon in the season to crown Shea Langeliers as the best catcher in baseball, especially since a certain guy named Cal Raleigh hit 60 homers with the Seattle Mariners last season. However, Langeliers’ numbers in 2026 are just too hard to ignore.
The star backstop is hitting .293 with a .914 OPS across 61 plate appearances this season, and, although he hasn’t gone yard since April 1, he might change that on Monday since he has a favorable matchup against Nathan Eovaldi. Langeliers has hit .333 with a 1.083 OPS and 1 home run in 12 at-bats against Eovaldi throughout his career. Considering Langeliers is also riding a 4-game hitting streak, he’s a strong candidate to go yard at some point in Monday’s slate.
Why You Should Target Aaron Judge as a Potential Home Run Threat on Monday
Aaron Judge is one of the few hitters in baseball who has the power to go yard against any pitcher in the league. Realistically, he’s a home-run threat every time he steps into the batter’s box, which is why it’s so puzzling to see that he hadn’t gone yard since April 3 before hitting a homer in Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Judge has 4 homers and a .783 OPS across 65 plate appearances this season, and he faces a favorable matchup since Yusei Kikuchi has allowed current Yankees hitters a .391 xSLG. Judge himself has gone yard twice in 34 plate appearances against the veteran hurler. Plus, Judge continues to make hard contact, and his 25% barrel rate ranks 5th in the majors, trailing only Shohei Ohtani, Jordan Walker, Ben Rice, and Kyle Schwarber. Don’t be surprised if Judge hits homers in back-to-back games for the first time this season on Monday.
